Librarians are natural partners when it comes to exploring OER and open pedagogy: our expertise in content curation, information discovery and synthesis, and the ethical use of information all aligns well with OER identification and integration in the classroom. As a profession, we value students as contributors not simply consumers of scholarship. This session will explore not only how librarians can best partner with faculty to integrate OER content and open pedagogy practices in their courses, but also serves as a call to action for librarians to take a leading role in their institution's OER initiatives.
